Angela Ratzsch, CNP

Angela Ratzsch CNP began her medical career as a nurse in 2001. She graduated from Casper Community College with an associate’s degree and began practicing in Casper, Wyoming. In 2004, she received her Bachelor’s of Science in nursing from the University of Wyoming and continued her career working in various specialties to include general medical/surgical nursing and hemodialysis. In 2003 she switched to Emergency nursing and worked in multiple locations as an ER nurse until 2010.
 
Angela also worked in case management and weight management as a nurse while obtaining her Masters of Science in Nursing. She graduated from Walden University in 2016 and became a Certified Nurse Practitioner. She has practiced in multiple specialties including Internal Medicine and Weight Management. She has always had an interest in wellness and helping people live their best life and in 2019 began working in Functional Medicine with Dr. Kyla Helm-Swanson MD. Angela is also currently working part time in mental health.
 
Angela views each patient as an individual and works with them to understand their goals for treatment. She combines her knowledge from all specialties to develop an individual treatment plan combining both conventional medicine practices with functional medicine modalities.
 
When she is not working she enjoys traveling with her husband and spending time with her children.

Kelsey Olson, MSN, FNP-C

Kelsey Olson began her medical career in 2016 when she graduated from South Dakota State University with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. She then began practicing in Rapid City, SD, in the ICU. Kelsey also has experience working in dermatology and within the school system. In 2018, Kelsey started her Master's Degree through Simmons University and became a certified Family Nurse Practitioner in 2021.  


Kelsey has had a strong passion for Functional Medicine for many years, as she's seen the effectiveness with her health journey. She enrolled in the Institute for Functional Medicine Certification Program in 2020 and hopes to complete the program in 2021. While in her Nurse Practitioner program, she joined Balanced Healthcare for two clinical rotations, further expanding her understanding of Functional Medicine.


"My main goal as a provider is to empower each patient so they feel in control of their health and lifestyle. I want to encourage patients that wellness is achievable when we address the underlying causes of illness. I will embark on the journey with my patients as we constantly learn and grow."


In Kelsey's spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling with her fiance, going to the Farmer's Market, and playing volleyball.
